We believe that mental health services should be accessible by all, which is why each of our psychologists provide therapy at a reduced rate for a limited number of clients who are not able to afford our full fee. We want to empower you towards reaching your mental health goals, and are happy to help you get there. Please contact us to learn more about this service.
You are entitled to a Good Faith Estimate of your treatment costs at Westside Psych in accordance with the No Surprises Act (Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act). Go here to learn more.
What this means is that you are responsible for paying the full fee upfront for each session. At the end of every month, we will provide you with an invoice (also known as a “superbill”) which you will then submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Depending on your plan, you will usually get a percentage of what you already paid back to you, which can help offset the out-of-pocket cost of therapy.
We understand that therapy is an investment – both emotionally and financially. In order to provide you with the highest level and most comprehensive care, we are not affiliated with any particular insurance panel. This is to ensure that we are working from a clinically compassionate space, without having limitations or influence from insurance companies, which can often stipulate what type and the length of treatment clients receive.
We know it can be challenging to navigate insurance as not all plans are the same, and it’s not always clear how to make sure you’re maximizing your benefits. Here, you will find some guidelines that will hopefully make this process more transparent and less daunting.
