Hi, my name is Callaghan (pronounced: cal-a-han).
Together we will discover who you are at your core, rather than what you can do or the roles you’ve been expected to fill. My goal is to help you cultivate a strong and congruent sense of identity, establish coherence in the narratives you tell about your life, and reclaim comfort and serenity in your day to day.
As someone who grew up in the entertainment industry, I relate strongly to the ways in which working professionally from a young age shapes one’s understanding of identity, self-worth, and relationships. My own experience growing up as a precocious child gave me unique insight into the challenges of redefining oneself beyond early labels and expectations. Because of this, I feel especially called to work with those feeling isolated by their identities or alienated by their circumstances. Rather than viewing change as an ending, I want to help you discover that it is freeing to reclaim your story.
Our therapeutic environment will be truthful, collaborative, and non-judgmental. My style is straightforward, warm, and empathetic. I will meet you where you are during each and every session. Together, we will work from a relational lens and explore the nuances and challenges that come with finding integration across the places we live, learn, work, and love. Supporting you in building a life that feels authentic—while acknowledging the inherent messiness of being human—will be central to our therapeutic process.
Beyond entertainment, I enjoy supporting those with sensory processing sensitivity (also known as highly sensitive people or HSPs), children of deaf adults (CODAs), those navigating significant life transitions, and anyone searching for a sense of belonging or the courage to live more authentically and use their voice. I also hold strong interests in identity development, attachment style, and trauma.
I am committed to your care through every era. This is therapy to help you turn the page, wherever you’d like to begin.
